About us
Meg and Tara, cousins and lifelong friends, are raising their families side by side. Meg brings over a decade of teaching expertise to Hello Sleep, while Tara offers her extensive experience in elite sports and health. United by their passion for sleep science and helping others, they've combined their diverse skills to guide families towards restful nights and happier days.
As a first-time mum to a lovely little boy, I was awed by the transformation in our nights (and days!) when I began introducing simple, gentle, and evidence-based changes to his sleep routines.
In the early months of motherhood, I was taken aback by the conflicting advice about childhood sleep. I felt bombarded with messages on what to do - and what not to do - which quickly left me feeling completely overwhelmed. I feared I might be "breaking" my baby every time I picked him up for a cuddle, co-slept with him, or fed him to sleep. Through conversations with other parents, I realised I wasn’t alone in this experience. The pressure to establish the "right" habits and avoid the "wrong" ones can take such a toll on new parents.
My mission is to help clear away the noise and dispel harmful narratives around sleep, and to empower parents to make informed, confident decisions that feel right for their family.
With well over ten years of teaching experience, I’m committed to providing clear, straightforward guidance in a supportive and respectful way. I deliver simple, easy-to-understand information because the last thing a sleep-deprived parent needs is complex advice full of jargon.
When working with families, I trust that parents know their child best, and I strive to provide advice tailored to their unique needs and parenting style - whether they're managing typical sleep challenges for babies and toddlers, or navigating more complex sleep concerns in older children. As a certified ADHD Aware practitioner, I'm also equipped to address the specific sleep challenges that children with ADHD may face, integrating this knowledge into my holistic approach to sleep consultancy.
Sleep doesn’t need to be stressful - I’m here to help families enjoy peaceful nights and joyful days.
Meg
Hi, I'm Tara a first-time mum to my darling girl. My journey into the world of sleep support began the moment we brought her home. From the very start, sleep was a struggle. The exhaustion, the endless sleepless nights, and the frustration of not knowing how to help her (and myself and my partner) get some rest led me to dive deep into understanding baby sleep. It was a steep learning curve, but it sparked a passion in me to help other parents who were going through the same challenges. After all, parenting is tough enough without the added stress of sleep deprivation!
I know how overwhelming it can feel when you’re exhausted and unsure of what will work for your baby. That's why I’m here to support you through every step of the process, tailoring my approach to fit your family's unique needs. I firmly believe that you know your baby best, and I’m here to guide and work with you to find what will work for your situation. Together, we can create a peaceful, sustainable sleep plan that works for your family.
Before diving into sleep support, I have spent ten years working in professional sport, where I have seen how a lack of sleep can affect focus, mood, and overall wellbeing, whether you’re an athlete or a parent with a busy life. That experience has helped me understand just how important sleep is for everyone, no matter who they are.
If sleep feels like an uphill battle, I’m here to help you find a way forward. Together, we can get your child—and you—back to enjoying restful nights.
TARA
